Annie Price, Creative Director



Annie joined the Foundry as part of our strategy to identify and capture strong senior talent. Part of Annie’s attraction for us was her involvement with Award School, the premier course for junior creatives which she has tutored and lectured for several years and co-ran in ‘06 and ‘07. Annie has also been recently elected to the MADC Committee.

Of course Annie also brings considerable experience. As a senior art director at Grey Melbourne for many years, Annie drove campaigns for retail brands such as Collins Booksellers and Goodyear Auto Service Centres, as well as working on brands such as Schmackos, John West, TAC, AXA, GE Money, Slimfast and Worksafe.

Prior to Grey, she worked at three other agencies on everything from hardware to tampons and department stores to health insurance. She’s also had considerable experience with promotion/PR agencies and is an avid competition entering addict herself!

Although an art director by trade, she’s been described as an ‘art di-writer’. She has strong writing skills that support a great love of radio and an intense passion for conceptual thinking. She loves nothing more than creating strong, relevant campaigns that will stand the test of time, rather than one-off ads that are ‘here today, gone tomorrow’. Campaign thoughts that work just as strongly in the tv ad as they do in the fridge magnet or bumper sticker.

She believes the richest and most fertile campaign thoughts come from a positive, collaborative team effort where client and agency work intrinsically together to reach the best solution. So the Foundry’s philosophy seemed the perfect fit for her.
