DaimlerChrysler - The Foundry

It’s no fun playing second fiddle to legendary brands such as Kenworth and Mack especially when the product you offer is technically superior in virtually every regard. Freightliner and Benz, in particular, needed to shift from a marginal truck brand to that of a serious, top-of-mind contender.

Our task was to re-establish the authority Mercedes Benz, Freightliner and Sterling trucks enjoy in other markets around the world.

FREIGHTLINER ‘MOTEL’ SERIES

Freightliner has two unique features in particular that set it apart from its antiquated opposition. The World’s First Swing Out Staircase was the fi rst focal feature of differentiation to be highlighted under the Freightliner Motel Series.

BIG RED ROADBLOCK


When Mercedes Trucks took to the road for their national roadshow, they needed an idea that would inspire dealers around the country. The Big Red RoadBlock was born. Local press announced the arrival of the RoadBlock in all major regional centres and dealers were invited to check progress live on the website.

SWAP” CAMPAIGN

In a highly inventive and daringly humorous effort, the Freightliner Argosy Evolution ‘Swap’ concepts were born. The campaign press ads offer a ‘Swap’, proposing that the mundane, the pesky to the downright precious is well worth making the trade up to the new Argosy truck offering.
